Drama 'Stove League' Remade in Japan

Agreement Ceremony for Joint Production and Business at BCWW

The drama "Stove League," which deals with the stories of professional baseball front offices, will be remade in Japan. On the 28th, SBS drama production company Studio S, Japan's NTT Docomo, and Yoshimoto Kogyo signed an agreement for joint remake production and business at the International Broadcasting and Video Market (BCWW) held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.


Drama 'Stove League' Remade in Japan

The signing ceremony was attended by Hong Seongchang, head of Studio S's drama division; Yoshizawa Keisuke, president of NTT Docomo Studio & Live; and actors Ha Do-kwon and Cha Yeop, who appeared as baseball players in the original drama.


"Stove League" is a work that depicts the process of rebuilding a perennial last-place professional baseball team. Actors Namgoong Min and Park Eun-bin played the roles of the baseball team manager and operations team leader, respectively, working well together. It received praise for its realistic portrayal and engaging development, achieving a peak viewership rating of 18.1%.
