Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (President Lim Ki-cheol) announced on the 29th that the Graduate School of AI Policy and Strategy (Dean Kim Jun-ha) has appointed six field experts as special professors to be in charge of AI policy, strategy, and convergence subjects.
The six field experts appointed as special professors are Kwak Jae-won, editorial writer at Aju Business Daily; Song In-kyu, CEO of Incutec; Park Ji-hye, CEO of Value Creation J; Cho Sung-beom, CSO of TechReady; Ahn Seok-hyun, COO of Oasis Studio; and Lee Seung-yoo, adjunct research fellow at KDI School of International Policy and Management.
They are on-site experts from diverse fields ranging from management, policy, engineering, and journalism to the arts, and will be responsible for convergence education encompassing AI and various disciplines.
President Lim Ki-cheol urged, “I hope that those appointed as special professors will nurture future talents needed by the nation and humanity based on their practical experience.”
Dean Kim Jun-ha stated, "The Graduate School of AI Policy and Strategy will cultivate innovative talents who respond to domestic and international economic, social, and technological changes through convergence education and research.”
The GIST Graduate School of AI Policy and Strategy, focusing on the impact of AI technology on society, held its opening ceremony and forum on July 12 to train well-balanced AI policy and strategy experts equipped with critical acceptance and ethical utilization of AI technology, and has since begun full-scale operations.
