On the 27th, Oh Jeong-yeon uploaded a video titled "The Truth Behind the Rumors Finally Revealed" on her YouTube channel. The video features Oh Jeong-yeon having a conversation with her close friend, comedian Jeon Young-mi. In the video, Oh Jeong-yeon mentioned the fake news, saying, "There are rumors about me involving financial hardship, luxury, and violence. Some people actually believe those."

Continuing Oh Jeong-yeon's words, Jeon Young-mi said, "Oh Jeong-yeon has never experienced financial hardship and has been preparing for her retirement since her twenties," adding, "She finished all her financial planning 10 years ago, and even if she does nothing from now on, she has enough to live comfortably for life." She further explained, "When she was an announcer, she would save part of her salary in installment savings and invested that in real estate."
Oh Jeong-yeon also addressed fake news related to pregnancy and childbirth, saying, "There’s nothing to refute. There are so many absurd things," and added bitterly, "I think all celebrities go through this, but after experiencing these rumors, I understand how hard it is." In response, Jeon Young-mi expressed sympathy, saying, "It’s true that (Oh Jeong-yeon) wants to get pregnant and have children. But the things appearing on YouTube are baseless rumors," and added, "If you search for (Oh Jeong-yeon) on YouTube, you’ll find nonsense. Then those videos keep multiplying, and the rumors start to seem like facts."
After continuing to talk about the rumors, Oh Jeong-yeon eventually showed tears and said, "This is the first time I’m saying this, but until now, I thought those rumors were just some noise during my broadcasting career. There are more people who see the good side of me." She explained the reason for starting YouTube, saying, "Since I have many hobbies, I hope to motivate those who hesitate or find it difficult to take on new challenges."
Meanwhile, Oh Jeong-yeon is a graduate of KBS announcer class 32, with classmates including Lee Ji-ae, Jeon Hyun-moo, and Choi Song-hyun. She married former basketball player Seo Jang-hoon, whom she met during a broadcast in 2009, but they divorced by mutual consent in March 2012 due to personality differences.
