Busan Broadcasting Video Forum Appoints Specialized High School Teacher as Responsible Committee Member

The 2nd Global Broadcasting and Video Symposium to Be Held on September 27

The Busan Broadcasting and Video Forum (Chairman Kim Chiyong, Director of External Cooperation at Dong-Eui University) held the “Specialized High School Responsible Committee Member Appointment Ceremony” at Bansang Korean Restaurant in Gwangalli, Busan, at 6 p.m. on the 27th.

More than 20 people attended the event, including Kim Chiyong, Chairman of the Busan Broadcasting and Video Forum, Lee Sangho, Executive Director, and Gong Jihun, Chief Business Director. Eleven teachers were appointed as responsible committee members: Lee Gapjong and Kim Minkyoung from Kyungseong Electronics High School; Lee Gwangwon and Park Eunjin from Daeyang High School; Lee Yoosang and Lee Nana from Daejin Electronics & Communication High School; Kim Changkil and Kim Moonjoo from Busan International Film High School; and Ko Younga, Kim Hanul, and Min Taerin from Busan Visual Arts High School. In addition, Professor Choi Hoon from Busan Catholic University was appointed as the responsible professor.

Last July, the Busan Broadcasting and Video Forum appointed more than 30 professors as responsible professors from departments nationwide related to multimedia content, media communication, broadcasting and video, digital content, advertising and public relations, design, multimedia, games, webtoons, software, animation, and film.

Kim Chiyong, Chairman of the Busan Broadcasting and Video Forum, said, “Recently, we have been paying a lot of attention to the development of the content industry as well as the video field, and are promoting various projects. I hope that many students majoring in related fields will participate in the Global Broadcasting and Video Symposium, which is being held for the second time this year following last year, and gain useful information.”

Chairman Kim also said, “I ask for the active interest of the newly appointed responsible committee teachers from specialized high schools so that many high school students in the Busan area can participate in the Busan Video Contest, which will be held starting in October and is themed around Busan.”

The Busan Broadcasting and Video Forum will host the “2nd Global Broadcasting and Video Symposium” at 2 p.m. on September 27 at the Ocean Hall of BNK Busan Bank’s headquarters. On this day, Professor Kim Daekyung from the Department of Media Communication at Dong-A University will give a keynote lecture on the topic of “Changes and Prospects in Media Communication.” In the expert session, Professor Jung Haewon from the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at Kosin University, Seo Hyesung, Channel A CP, Kim Hanna, KBS voice actor, and Dave, YouTube creator, will participate.

This forum was established on September 19, 2003, with the aim of promoting a network among industry, academia, government, and research institutions for the development of the video culture industry in the Busan area. More than 100 experts and professionals in broadcasting, video, and content-related fields participate in the forum.
