Pampas Grass and Lotus Flowers Blend to Evoke the Atmosphere Between Summer and Autumn
Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Kwan-gyu) is welcoming visitors with the abundant bloom of pampas grass, the harbinger of autumn, at Ocheon Green Plaza, signaling the start of fall despite the continued heat after the solar terms of Ipchu and Cheoseo have passed.
At the end of summer, the scene created by the beautifully blooming lotus flowers filling the pond and the pampas grass swaying in the cool autumn breeze is truly spectacular.
While the water snowflake lotus, white lotus, and red lotus fade away with summer, the Victoria lotus and thorny lotus are expected to take their place soon.
Pampas grass, with its unique and colorful appearance resembling a puppy’s tail, is gaining popularity as a hotspot for SNS life shots, attracting numerous inquiries from photographers.
Ocheon Green Plaza and Green Island are representative cultural spaces of Suncheon City, loved by people of all ages for their year-round green lawns, various flowering plants, chestnut tree forests, children’s playground, stage, pond, musical fountain, and barefoot walking paths, offering a wealth of sights and activities.
