Finally, the Plane Has Taken Off... T'way Air Launches New Route to Paris, France

Introduction of A330-200... 18 Business Class Seats

T'way Air has launched the Incheon~France Paris route, becoming the first domestic low-cost carrier (LCC) to operate this route.

T'way Air announced that it commenced service on the Incheon~Paris route starting with flight TW401 departing from Incheon Airport on the morning of the 28th.

This route operates with a schedule departing Incheon Airport at 10:10 AM and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 8:30 PM. The first flight departing from Incheon had a load factor of 98%.

It will operate four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday) until October 5, and from October 6, the frequency will increase to five times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Detailed flight schedules can be found on T'way Air's official website. The aircraft used is an A330-200 leased from Korean Air. Of the total 246 seats, 18 are allocated as business class seats.

Previously, T'way Air was selected as the airline to replace Korean Air's four European passenger routes under the conditions of the European Union (EU) competition authorities' approval of the Korean Air-Asiana Airlines merger. Accordingly, it commenced service to Rome, Italy on the 8th. Although T'way Air aimed to quickly launch the Paris route to capitalize on the 'Olympic special,' administrative procedures between the two countries delayed the launch, and the first flight took off after the Olympics had concluded. The airline plans to launch routes to Barcelona, Spain, and Frankfurt, Germany, next month and in October, respectively.

A launch event was also held. Among the passengers on the first flight TW401, 30 were selected to receive a free shuttle bus at Charles de Gaulle Airport to major tourist attractions in Paris, including the Opera, Arc de Triomphe, and Eiffel Tower.

A T'way Air official stated, "We will continue to do our best to enable many customers to explore various cities in Europe."
