Jung-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Gil-seong) will issue the ‘Seoul Jung-gu Love Gift Certificate’ starting at 9 a.m. on the 4th of next month in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.
This gift certificate will be issued on a scale of 8 billion KRW with a 5% discount rate applied and can be used at affiliated stores within Jung-gu that accept the Seoul Jung-gu Love Gift Certificate. Individuals can purchase up to 500,000 KRW per month, with a holding limit of 1,500,000 KRW.
The gift certificates can be used within 5 years from the date of purchase, and if unused after purchase, the full amount can be canceled. If a partial amount has been used, refunds are only available if more than 60% of the balance has been spent. Purchases and payments can be made through the Seoul Pay Plus app.
Those wishing to purchase the gift certificates are advised to download the Seoul Pay Plus app, register as a member, and pre-register payment information by the day before issuance. On the day of issuance, the ‘Find Affiliated Stores’ and ‘Gift Certificate Gifting’ functions will be temporarily suspended to ensure system stability.
Mayor Kim Gil-seong said, “This initiative was made to revitalize the local commercial district and ease the burden of holiday preparations for residents,” adding, “We hope local small business owners and residents have a joyful holiday.”
