December & Company, which operates the AI-based simple investment platform fint, announced on the 28th that it was selected as the only fintech company in the robo-advisor (RA) industry in the Financial Services Commission's second recruitment of ‘K-Fintech 30’. The Financial Services Commission selected a total of 10 companies, including December & Company, through the second recruitment this year following the first recruitment last year.
K-Fintech 30 aims to select 30 companies by 2025 to discover fintech companies with innovation and growth potential in order to revitalize the fintech industry and promote financial innovation. As the utilization of AI continues to grow across the industry, December & Company was selected by proving its outstanding technology and expertise through Korea’s first AI discretionary investment service, ‘fint’.
With the selection for K-Fintech 30, December will receive high-quality support necessary for corporate growth, including various policy fund linkage support, preferential support for financial company loans, foreign exchange services and products, expanded investment attraction and IR opportunities, fintech support programs (such as security), professional consulting, and overseas market entry.
As of the first half of this year, fint has achieved a cumulative discretionary investment net asset value (AUM) of approximately 175.5 billion KRW and about 122,000 contracts. It holds market shares of 58% and 80%, respectively, maintaining the number one position in the RA market since the service launch.
Amid high interest in the RA retirement pension discretionary service scheduled to be implemented in the second half of this year in the financial industry, fint aims to lead innovation in retirement pensions through this award opportunity.
December & Company has set up an on-site booth at ‘Korea Fintech Week 2024,’ held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul until the 29th, allowing visitors to directly experience the fint service. Customers can receive prizes such as a one-month free fee coupon for fint through various experiences at the booth.
