Mayor Park: "Making Busan a Global Hub City and Strengthening Exchange and Cooperation"
On the afternoon of the 27th at 4 p.m., Busan Mayor Park Hyungjun met with Danose Ryotaro, President of the Japan-Korea Friendship Association of Nara Prefecture and President of Yamato University, in the International Protocol Room at City Hall to discuss ways to enhance mutual exchange and cooperation between Busan and Japan.

This visit by the President of the Japan-Korea Friendship Association of Nara Prefecture was arranged to discuss various measures to vitalize exchange and cooperation between the two regions, as interactions between Busan and Japan continue to increase.
Mayor Park first said, "I am very pleased to have this meaningful meeting with you, who have shown great interest in Korea," and added, "Thank you for visiting Busan despite your busy schedule." He continued, "The two countries have had a long history of exchange and active mutual visits, and as Korea-Japan relations are improving, many cities in Japan are visiting Busan this year. I would like to express my gratitude to Danose Ryotaro, President of the Japan-Korea Friendship Association of Nara Prefecture and President of Yamato University, for your cooperation in making the '2024 K-pop Challenge Osaka' possible at Yamato University in May this year."
Danose Ryotaro, President of the Japan-Korea Friendship Association of Nara Prefecture, responded, "After visiting Korea last year and visiting Busan for the first time this year, I am working to promote friendship and exchange between the two regions. Cooperation between Korea and Japan is essential for the prosperity of Northeast Asia, and I especially hope that we can collaborate in various ways in the cultural field."
Mayor Park concluded the meeting by saying, "The future of both countries depends on overcoming issues centered around the capital regions. As a solution, I will work to make Busan a 'global hub city' and strengthen exchange and cooperation with various cities in Japan."
