This year, six topics were selected, including the future vision of cyber security: Next Step, cybercrime in Korean society, and global responses. In-depth discussions will be held on international joint response measures for the rapid resolution of cybercrime.
President Yoon Suk-yeol attended the symposium in person for the first time as the President of the Republic of Korea. President Yoon emphasized the need to cultivate elite professionals and focus on developing core technologies to eradicate cybercrime, which is evolving through the misuse of advanced new technologies.
National Police Agency Commissioner Cho Ji-ho stated that to overcome rapid changes and maintain perfect public security, they will discover optimal ideas to respond to new types of crime, enhance expertise, communicate globally to respond to and prevent borderless cybercrime, and protect citizens' fundamental rights through swift investigations.
