[Invest&Law] Insolvency Experts from Around the World Gather... 'Insol Seoul Seminar' Held

'INSOL International,' an organization of insolvency experts from around the world, will hold the 'Seoul Seminar' on October 7 at the Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul.

INSOL is an international academic federation composed of insolvency professionals such as lawyers and accountants from various countries. Currently, more than 10,000 experts are active members. Within INSOL, groups representing the judiciary, as well as legislative and regulatory bodies and academia, are also formed.

At this seminar, Lim Chi-yong, a lawyer at Kim & Chang Law Office and co-chair of the organizing committee, and Jeong Jun-young, chief judge of the Seoul High Court and president of the Insolvency Law Research Association, will deliver the welcome and opening remarks.

On the day, Ahn Byung-wook, president of the Seoul Bankruptcy Court, is scheduled to give a keynote speech on "The Development and Future Prospects of the Korean Insolvency System."

Additionally, presentations will follow covering topics such as construction company bankruptcies, international insolvency cases, and strategies of international practitioners related to corporate restructuring.

INSOL regularly holds academic conferences and seminars in cities around the world every year, connecting insolvency experts globally. Last year, it held a large-scale conference over four days and three nights in Tokyo, Japan, and one-day small seminars in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Bermuda, a British Overseas Territory; the Cayman Islands; and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
