Dongjak-gu to Host 'Special Cultural Days in Dongjak in August' on 28th and 30th

Dongjak-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Il-ha) has prepared special performances to celebrate Dongjak's special cultural day.


'Dongjak's Special Cultural Day (Dong·Teuk·Mun)' is a 'comprehensive cultural set' that allows people to enjoy various cultures such as performances, busking, plays, and movies during the week that includes the last Wednesday of every month, in connection with the government's Culture Day.


This month, as a featured performance, on the 28th at 3 PM, the Our Neighborhood Orchestra 'All that Classic' will perform at the Shindaebang Nuri Library Atrium, and at 7 PM, a creative historical play will be performed at the CTS Art Hall.


On the 30th at 2 PM, singer-songwriter Seong Haebin's concert will take place at the Sangdo Eoul Madang Art Hall. On the same day at 7 PM, , sharing various life stories of Dongjak residents, will be held at the Seoul Women's Plaza Art Hall Bom. Popular comedian Kim Young-chul will appear as a guest speaker.


In addition, free movie screenings will be held at the Sayuksin History Museum and Dongjak English Maru Library, and discounts on movie theater admission fees within the region will be promoted.


Mayor Park Il-ha said, "We have prepared various events to match the diversity of culture and arts," adding, "I hope people can take a moment to rest and enjoy cultural performances to relieve the fatigue from the heat."
