Vinoparadise, 'Ugukwon Edition Wine' Popup Exhibition

Binoparadise to be Held at Hannam from Next Month 2 to 7

Wine specialist company Vinoparadise announced on the 27th that it will present a unique pop-up exhibition where visitors can experience the works of artist Woo Guk-won, known as a blue chip in the art world, alongside art label wines in celebration of KIAF & Frieze Seoul.

The pop-up exhibition will be held from the 2nd to the 7th of next month at Vinoparadise Hannam. The Woo Guk-won edition wines introduced at this event include two types: the French Alsace white wine "Grand C Riesling R?serve Alsace" and the Spanish Rioja red wine "La Rioja Alta S.A. Vi?a Alberdi Reserva." These wines feature labels reborn with artworks presented at the artist’s 2021 solo exhibition (I’m your father).

Through these two works, the artist added his own perspective to the works of his father, the Oriental painter Baek Cho (白楚) Woo Jae-kyung, interpreting them in an original way. He has expressed that this edition wine connects the world of wine and art as a medium to recall memories with his father.

A representative of Vinoparadise said, "In line with Frieze Seoul, we have prepared a pop-up where collectors can experience the world of artist Woo Guk-won, beloved by many, through the medium of wine. We expect it to be a special time that will delight the eyes and palate of those who love art and wine."

In addition, the event will also feature a pop artist Eddy Kang’s edition wine "Myosu" artwork and an art label wine exhibition. Both wines will be available for purchase on site. Furthermore, VIP ticket holders of Frieze Seoul will be offered welcome wine and finger foods as part of an event.
