Hyundai Infracore "Promoting Development of AI Firefighting Robots and Electric Vehicle Fire Suppression Equipment... 24-Hour Unmanned Automatic Suppression"

"We are developing autonomous driving AI fire-fighting robots in collaboration with the first-tier suppliers of Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors, and are also promoting the development of special trailers for electric vehicle fire suppression. We expect to become a 'game changer' at fire scenes with AI-based competitiveness."

Hyundai Infracore "Promoting Development of AI Firefighting Robots and Electric Vehicle Fire Suppression Equipment... 24-Hour Unmanned Automatic Suppression"

On the 27th, Kang Yong-ju, CEO of Hyundai Infracore, introduced the company's main products related to the fire-fighting industry. In particular, the AI fire suppression solution can be installed anywhere with a high possibility of fire occurrence. It detects fires unmanned 24 hours a day and suppresses them automatically.

CEO Kang said, "With the increasing importance of response solutions due to consecutive lithium battery-related fires, demand is also rapidly increasing. Especially since it is difficult to enter the site, unmanned automated fire suppression systems will receive more attention," he predicted.

Previously, Hyundai Infracore developed the world's first Internet of Things fire prediction computer called 'AlphaView.' The product with the added function of spraying water and extinguishing agents is called 'AlphaShot,' and the upcoming new product will automatically and unmannedly spray a lithium battery-specific extinguishing agent, which is the only disaster safety certified product in Korea.

This new product was jointly developed with its parent company, MGen Solution. In the future, this extinguishing agent will be applied to AlphaShot for electric vehicle charging stations. The new product will be unveiled for the first time at the 17th Waste & Resource Circulation Industry Exhibition held at KINTEX in Ilsan from the 28th to the 30th of this month.

The AI fire detection and suppression solution incorporates a complex combination of electrical, communication, fire-fighting, mechanical, and IT technologies. Additionally, to ensure continuous research, development, and production, the company has obtained licenses and certifications such as specialized fire facility construction business, electrical construction business, corporate-affiliated research institute, venture company, and Inno-Biz.

Regarding competitiveness compared to other companies, CEO Kang emphasized, "We possess original technologies and numerous patents," and "Our product is the only one installed and operated in actual domestic sites."

He added, "In addition to deliveries to GS Construction's Elysian Golf Course, private waste factories, and local government resource circulation centers, we are receiving a flood of installation inquiries from electric vehicle charging stations and large-scale apartment underground parking lots."

He also stated, "We have secured operational know-how and reliability through various on-site constructions," and "We can also provide customized on-site designs tailored to customer needs."

Currently, the company is coordinating various business collaborations and investments. They are developing AI fire-fighting robots (autonomous driving) together with Poem ENG, a first-tier vendor of Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors. They also plan to develop electric vehicle fire suppression equipment in collaboration with ICP, a manufacturer of military tank transport trailers. Hyundai Infracore is in the process of applying for patents related to electric vehicle fire suppression trailers.

They are also planning to enter overseas markets. They will showcase the AI fire detection and suppression solution at KADEX, an international defense industry exhibition held in October this year. He said, "It is expected to prevent various fires occurring within the military, such as battery and ammunition depot fires."

CEO Kang stated, "Our goal is to become a leading domestic company providing customized fire solutions for various industrial sites," and expressed his ambition, "We will expand our market share in the defense sector through next-generation new products such as AI fire-fighting robots, fire-fighting drones, and special fire suppression trailers."
