Vice Chairman Lee Myung-woo, Special Lecture on Outside-In (Change of Perspective)
Joint Training and Autonomous Discussions Among Members Conducted
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (YGPA) and the Gwangyang Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly announced that the second lecture of the 1st Port Logistics Leaders Academy was held on the 22nd.
The Port Logistics Leaders Academy was launched to bring together executives and employees of related organizations and groups of Yeosu and Gwangyang Ports, as well as local opinion leaders, to explore ways to revitalize Yeosu and Gwangyang Ports and their future development directions, and to establish governance for building competitive smart ports.
This lecture featured Lee Myung-woo, Vice Chairman of Dongwon Industries, who shared his experience and knowledge as a marketing expert under the theme "Outside-In," educating attendees on approaches to grasp the essence of problems.
Through discussions following the lecture, participants agreed that active cooperation between the government and companies is necessary for the introduction of domestically produced equipment and the successful operation of smart ports in Busan Port and Gwangyang Port.
Additionally, Lee Myung-woo’s book, Fight with the Enemy’s Blade, was selected as the book for autonomous discussion, and he personally signed copies which were distributed to attendees.
YGPA President Park Sung-hyun said, “It was a meaningful time to promote the development of Yeosu and Gwangyang Ports,” adding, “I would like to thank Vice Chairman Lee Myung-woo of Dongwon Industries for helping to conduct this special lecture of the Leaders Academy, as well as the representatives of shipping and port-related organizations and companies who actively participated. Our authority will continue to do its best in various ways for regional development.”
