Final Preparations Underway One Month Before Cheonan Heungtaryeong Dance Festival

Preparation Status Briefing Held... Crowd Control and Other Issues Discussed

With just one month left until the opening of 'Cheonan Heungtaryeong Dance Festival 2024,' the representative festival of Cheonan City, Chungnam Province, the city held a preparation status meeting to discuss measures for a successful event.

To prepare for the large crowds expected to gather for the opening ceremony performances and fireworks, an on-site crowd management system will be operated, and plans are in place to ensure smooth traffic flow and pedestrian safety around the main event venue and street dance parade route.

In particular, traffic will be controlled along the street dance parade route, from Bangjuk-an Five-way Intersection to Terminal Intersection. To ensure smooth event operations and minimize inconvenience caused by traffic control, illegal parking enforcement will be strengthened in the areas surrounding the event venue.

Additionally, volunteers will be recruited to assist in nine areas during the festival period, including interpretation, traffic control, lost child and lost property centers. For the convenience of visitors, facilities such as breastfeeding rooms, medical teams, wheelchair and stroller rental stations, and shuttle buses will be operated.

Mayor Park Sangdon stated, "This year, the largest number of overseas teams in history are expected to participate," and emphasized, "Let us not forget that this is an important opportunity to showcase Cheonan's cultural pride to the world, and prepare more thoroughly than ever before."

Meanwhile, 'Cheonan Heungtaryeong Dance Festival 2024' will be held for five days from September 25 to 29 at Cheonan Sports Complex and throughout Cheonan City.
