AI Voice Assistant 'Bixby' Upgrade
Understands Long Sentences... Voice Responses to Product and Feature Inquiries
Samsung Electronics' 'Bespoke Artificial Intelligence (AI) Appliances' will have easier voice control. This is because the upgraded AI voice assistant 'Bixby' has been applied to understand long sentences related to product functions. It means that even if multiple commands are given in one sentence, the appliances can understand and operate accordingly.

On the 26th, Samsung Electronics announced that it will carry out a new Bixby update centered on the Bespoke AI appliance line released this year.
Bespoke AI appliances can understand multiple commands spoken in one sentence. They remember previous conversations and connect to perform the next command.
Users will be able to immediately check questions and answers related to the devices. For example, if you say, "Set the air conditioner to 26 degrees and finish the laundry by 5 PM," the product understands and executes the different commands. Even if you say, "Tell me how much energy the washing machine saved this month," followed by "Oh, what about the usage fee?" the device understands and responds to both queries.
Samsung Electronics' AI appliance manuals and usage tips can also be conveniently checked by voice. If you ask, "How do I clean the washing machine drum?" or "How do I replace the air conditioner filter?" the product will provide the usage instructions vocally. If you inquire about special care methods for garments like golf clothes or baby clothes, it recommends appropriate washing courses. Users do not need to bother searching for manuals or contacting service centers.
The new Bixby update will be applied to this year's released Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerators, Bespoke AI Combo, Bespoke AI Steam, and Bespoke AI Wind-Free Gallery air conditioners. The range of applicable products will be expanded sequentially.
For Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator users, the 'Generative Wallpaper' feature allows creating personalized wallpapers. By selecting desired items from seven themes such as nature, flowers, events, and food, and six art styles including watercolor, oil painting, and illustration, customized images are generated.
Yumi Young, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances (DA) Division, said, "Samsung Electronics has proactively applied AI functions to appliances to enhance consumer convenience," adding, "We will continue to expand services so that more consumers can resonate with the perception that 'AI appliances = Samsung.'"
