Development of Dobong-gu's Representative Sock Brand 'Fitto (Feeto)'

Dobong Sock Co-Brand 'Feeto' Developed... Simple Yet Powerful English Text... Modernity and Expertise Included... Products Available at 'Dobong Sock Sanghoe', Debuted at September 'LA Korean Festival'

Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) is launching the Dobong sock joint brand ‘Feeto’.


‘Feeto’ is a brand representing Dobong’s sock manufacturing industry. The Dobong Sock Manufacturing Association (President Park Byung-soo) took the lead in gathering opinions from those engaged in the sock manufacturing business to create the brand.


The design of ‘Feeto,’ which means to wrap the entire foot from the toe to the heel, consists of simple yet strong English text.


A district official stated, “We aimed to embody the modernity and professionalism of Dobong socks in the brand,” adding, “The brand, combining tradition and innovation, will present a new direction for the sock industry.”

Previously, the district sought to transform the existing low-cost, simple subcontracting structure of the sock manufacturing industry into a high value-added industry by developing a joint brand.


To this end, in April, the ‘Dobong-gu Sock Market’ was opened, and together with the Dobong Sock Manufacturing Association and other industry workers, the brand was developed at this location.


In July, the final naming and design of the joint brand were completed, and the trademark registration application has also been filed.


Dobong sock joint brand products are currently available for purchase at the ‘Dobong-gu Sock Market’ and will be available through online shopping malls in the future. They are scheduled to be showcased at the ‘LA Korean Festival’ in September.


Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “I am very pleased to have achieved the development of a joint brand, which has been one of the long-cherished projects of those engaged in the sock manufacturing industry,” and added, “We will spare no support to help Feeto become a representative sock brand of South Korea beyond Dobong-gu.”
