'2024 Guro G Festival' to be held at Anyangcheon from September 27 to 29

The scorching heat has passed, and the ‘Guro G Festival’ is back. It is Guro-gu’s representative festival held over three days against the backdrop of Anyangcheon.

Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) announced that the ‘2024 Guro G Festival’ will take place for three days from September 27 to 29. The ‘SMART Garden Light Festival’ will be held for a month from September 26 to October 26.

The festival’s direction is set as ▲a festival that changes and grows with residents ▲a festival where people and technology coexist harmoniously ▲a cultural exchange festival where the local community and the world come together, making it even richer.

The district explained this year’s festival, saying, “With content utilizing 4th industrial revolution technologies such as robot demonstrations, holograms, augmented reality (AR) interactive experience zones, and creative convergence competitions hidden throughout, it will be an even more exciting festival,” adding, “We aimed to enhance accessibility and usability by integrating smart technology into the joyful festival site.”

Card payments have been introduced at the food market to immediately address visitor inconveniences raised during last year’s festival.

Also, visitors can enjoy a variety of festivals in one place, including the SMART Garden Light Festival, French Cultural Festival, Guro Garden Festa, and Guro Book Festival. Additionally, the Guro Carbon Zero Walking Event, Guro-gu 4th Industrial Creative Convergence Competition, flea market, and local specialty product exchange market will be held together.

Before the official opening, the SMART Garden Light Festival will kick off with a lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. on the 26th.

This year’s Light Festival, themed ‘SMART Garden,’ incorporates technical elements such as media facade and prepares photo zones under the concept of ‘travel.’ It also offers various attractions in connection with the Guro Garden Festa and French Cultural Festival.

Starting with the lighting ceremony on this day, a fantastic world of light will unfold with various content at the Anyangcheon Ecological Wildflower Garden until October 26.

During the three days of the festival, diverse performances suitable for all age groups will be presented.

First, on the festival’s opening day, September 27, the official opening ceremony will be held from 7 p.m. on the main stage at Anyangcheon. Starting with the Gumin Award ceremony, popular singers such as Ailee, Ali, Jung Dong-ha, and Na Sang-do will gather to captivate the audience with dazzling performances.

The evening of the second day, September 28, is also noteworthy. From 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., a resident autonomy program presentation is scheduled, followed by the ‘Outdoor DJ performance’ featuring DJ SEFO and rapper ROBBIN, whose fiery energy will fill the main stage at Gocheokgyo.

The festival’s highlight is the ‘TOP10 Song Show 2024 Guro G Festival Special Broadcast’ held from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on September 29, featuring renowned singers such as Park Ji-hyun, Kim Da-hyun, Park Seo-jin, and Chu Hyuk-jin. The fireworks display following the final stage will mark the grand finale of the festival.

From September 27 to 29, the food market, responsible for the festival’s enjoyment, will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Anyangcheon A Soccer Field.

Alongside this, ▲Make Guro Art Market (Water Playground/3 days, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.) ▲Local Specialty Product Exchange Market (Water Playground/3 days, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.) ▲Children’s Theme Park (Inline Skating Rink/3 days, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.) will operate, adding fun and excitement to the festival.

A Guro-gu official said, “We are fully prepared so that families, friends, and couples can create joyful and happy memories at Guro’s representative festival,” and “We hope for much interest and participation.”
