An 8-year-old child was found in cardiac arrest at a water play facility in an apartment complex in Dongtan New Town, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, and was transported to a hospital.
According to the police and fire authorities on the 25th, at around 1:46 PM that day, an 8-year-old girl, A, was seen unconscious and floating on the water at a water play facility installed in an apartment complex in Mokdong, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, by a resident who then reported it.
Girl A was found in cardiac arrest and was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation before being taken to a nearby hospital.
Currently, girl A has regained spontaneous circulation (ROSC) with her heart beating again at the hospital, but she remains unconscious and has low blood pressure.
A police official stated, "We are investigating the detailed circumstances of the accident," adding, "We will check the operator of the water play facility to see if proper safety measures were taken."
