Accused of Spreading False Rumors About Foot-and-Mouth Disease and Nana's Private Life
Actress Nana, formerly of the group After School, has announced her intention to take legal action against YouTuber Guje-yeok (31, real name Lee Jun-hee) for spreading false information.
On the 24th, Nana posted on her Instagram, stating, "I have filed a complaint," and added, "I will respond firmly without leniency." She continued, "The same goes for malicious commenters," and wrote, "If you chose me as a subject for sensational issues, I will show you directly that it was a very wrong choice." She concluded her post with the words, "Guje-yeok? Who are you? Do you know me? You picked the wrong person to mess with."
Guje-yeok was recently indicted and detained on charges of extorting tens of millions of won by threatening popular mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang. Along with YouTubers Karakula (35, real name Lee Se-wook), Jujak Gambyeolsa (32, real name Jeon Guk-jin), and Crocodile (39, real name Choi Il-hwan), he organized the so-called "Cyber Rekka Alliance" to commit these crimes. Guje-yeok not only targeted Tzuyang but also produced videos containing false recordings about Nana. Furthermore, while on a call with Kim Se-ui, the head of the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute," he reportedly spread malicious rumors about Nana's private life.
Meanwhile, on the 14th, the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office Criminal Division 2 (Chief Prosecutor Jung Hyun-seung) and Criminal Division 5 (Chief Prosecutor Cheon Dae-won) indicted YouTubers Guje-yeok and Jujak Gambyeolsa on charges including extortion against Tzuyang. Additionally, YouTuber Karakula was indicted and detained for aiding Guje-yeok's extortion crimes and for threatening AfreecaTV BJ A to extort 30 million won. YouTuber Crocodile was also indicted without detention for aiding Guje-yeok's extortion crimes alongside Karakula.
The first trial for Guje-yeok is scheduled for the 6th of next month at the Suwon District Court, Criminal Division 14, presided over by Judge Park Yi-rang.
