On the 23rd, DJ Soda wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "The incident last summer was a very deep emotional wound for me," adding, "But recently, I was heartbroken to hear that a Japanese adult video company produced an AV inspired by that incident."

In March, a Japanese adult video company released an adult film reminiscent of the incident in which DJ Soda was sexually harassed by an audience member at the 'Music Circus Festival' in Japan in August last year. The female lead in the film has a hairstyle and outfit similar to DJ Soda's at the time of the incident. The work introduces this woman as a "blonde DJ who was a hot topic in the summer of 2023." The scene where a woman on stage is touched on the chest evokes memories of DJ Soda's sexual harassment case. After strong public criticism and secondary victimization within Japan, the production company announced the suspension of the release.

Regarding this, DJ Soda appealed, "The actress who played me wrote on social media that 'it was an enjoyable shoot,' and that sentence has not left my mind, causing me great pain." She added, "As a woman, I considered it a very shameful incident and tried to let it pass quietly. But with this video spreading and being available for illegal download, I wondered what I could do."

On August 13th, during her performance at the 'Music Circus Festival' held in Osaka, DJ Soda revealed on Instagram the day after the show that "several people suddenly touched my chest as I approached the audience, and I was helplessly sexually harassed." The Japanese event organizer Tryhard Japan, which hosted the festival, filed a complaint with the Osaka local police. Three individuals?two unidentified men and one woman?were reported on charges of non-consensual obscene acts and assault.

All three suspects?the two men and one woman?admitted to the charges during police investigation and submitted apology letters. DJ Soda accepted their remorse, and the case was settled without financial compensation as she reconciled with the three audience members who committed the sexual harassment. DJ Soda also donated 1 million yen to aid in the recovery from the earthquake damage in Japan.
