Suncheon Office of Education recently announced on the 23rd that it held a meeting by inviting Nam Su-hyun, who won the gold medal in archery at the '2024 Paris Olympics.'
This meeting was held to encourage Nam Su-hyun and to invite school sports club coaches who trained him to discuss ways to promote archery within Suncheon.

Nam Su-hyun graduated from Suncheon Seongnam Elementary School, Suncheon Pungdeok Middle School, and Suncheon Girls' High School, and joined the Suncheon City Hall team this year. Nam competed as a representative of South Korea in the archery event at this year's Paris Olympics, winning a gold medal in the team event and a silver medal in the individual event.
Nam said, "This Olympic achievement was possible thanks to the sports club coaches who taught archery in elementary, middle, and high school, as well as the systematic support from the Provincial Office of Education and the Office of Education."
Heo Dong-gyun, the Superintendent of Education, said, "On behalf of the education community, I would like to thank Nam Su-hyun, who graduated from elementary, middle, and high schools in Suncheon and won a gold medal," adding, "We will spare no support so that archery juniors can become the second Nam Su-hyun."
