Yang Jongdae, Chairman of Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra Supporters, Holds First Baritone Solo Concert Baritone Jongdae Yang Solo Recital Poster

Yang Jongdae, CEO of NSG Co., Ltd., who serves as the chairman of the Daejeon City Symphony Orchestra and the Daejeon Arts Center Sponsorship Association, will hold a baritone solo recital at the Daejeon Municipal Yeonjeong Gugak Center Grand Theater on September 11 at 7:30 p.m.

He is a businessman and Ph.D. in engineering, specializing as a nuclear and thermal power plant engineer, but in the local arts community, he is widely known as a music enthusiast and patron. In particular, as an amateur vocalist, he has already built a diverse stage career, performing in operas in Busan and Jeju-do.

This performance marks his first solo recital, which he presents despite his busy schedule traveling domestically and internationally for business, having studied vocal music whenever possible. It carries the meaning of reflecting on the time spent growing through learning and taking another step forward.

The concert will begin with German lieder and feature Korean and Italian songs as well. Well-known opera arias familiar to the audience will also be performed. The first part will showcase his solo performances, while the second part will be a collaborative stage with vocalists who guided him when he first entered the world of vocal music. Nurman Wijaja, who is active as a conductor and pianist on the world stage, will accompany on piano and conduct the Daejeon Sinfonietta, enriching the performance.

Baritone Yang Jongdae said, "Art is the force that made me who I am today," adding, "This stage is not just about staying in the audience's seat, but about sharing the joy, inspiration, and gratitude I felt through learning and understanding music more deeply."
