Russian President Vladimir Putin was captured kissing a gold-bound Islamic scripture, the Quran.
On the 22nd (local time), Russian state media reported that President Putin kissed the Quran during his visit to a mosque in the Chechen Republic on the 20th.
A video showing him was posted by Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, on his Telegram, drawing public attention. It is known that President Putin kissed the Quran as a sign of respect after receiving it as a gift.
