GFEZ Hadong District Achieves Investment Success with Raw Material Specialist Companies

CKU Co., Ltd. Invests 30 Billion KRW

Expectations for Job Creation and Regional Economic Revitalization

The Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (hereinafter referred to as Gwangyang Economic Authority) announced on August 23 (Friday) that it signed an investment agreement with Hadong County and CKU Co., Ltd. at the small conference room of Hadong County Office.

About 20 officials attended the event, including Seon Yang-gyu, Acting Head of Gwangyang Economic Authority, Ha Seung-cheol, Mayor of Hadong County, and Ko Seung-ho, CEO of CKU Co., Ltd.

CKU Co., Ltd., a raw material specialist company, has been producing natural rubber in Vietnam and Cambodia and supplying it to domestic and international tire companies.

Through this agreement, CKU Co., Ltd. plans to return to Korea and establish a new base in the Daesong Industrial Complex in Hadong County.

The Daesong Industrial Complex, located in the Hadong district, is a major industrial complex with excellent location conditions and superior infrastructure, providing a favorable environment for corporate growth.

CKU Co., Ltd. plans to invest 30 billion KRW in a 33,000㎡ site within the Daesong Industrial Complex by 2026 and create 35 new jobs.

This is expected to greatly contribute to revitalizing the local economy.

Ko Seung-ho, CEO of CKU Co., Ltd., stated, "The reason for choosing the Daesong Industrial Complex as a returning domestic company is not only its excellent location but also because we judged that the support from Hadong County and Gwangyang Economic Authority would be a great help." He added, "Through this investment, we will grow together with the local community and further strengthen our global competitiveness."

In response, Seon Yang-gyu, Acting Head of Gwangyang Economic Authority, said, "This agreement is an achievement made together by Gwangyang Economic Authority, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Hadong County, and it will greatly help the local economy of the Hadong district." He added, "We will spare no effort to actively support not only CKU Co., Ltd. but also companies that will invest in the Gwangyang Bay Area to settle stably."
