1,422 Donated Items Delivered to Goodwill Store, a Vocational Rehabilitation Facility for the Disabled
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director Lee Seyong) held a "Used Clothing Donation Campaign" as part of the "1st Hanul ESG Culture Festival" at Hanul Energy Farm from August 16 to 17.
More than 50 people participated in donating items, and Hanul Headquarters delivered 1,422 pieces of used clothing to "Goodwill Store." This is equivalent to approximately 4.2 million won based on resale unit prices, and it is expected to achieve about 2 tons of carbon reduction. This is comparable to the effect of planting about 320 pine trees.
The donated items go through an upcycling process (adding design or utility to recycled goods to increase their value) and are sold at the "Goodwill Store," a vocational rehabilitation facility. All proceeds are used to support the economic independence of employees with disabilities.
Director Lee Seyong stated, "Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters will continue to practice ESG management to reduce carbon emissions through resource circulation and support the economic independence of socially disadvantaged groups. We ask for your continued participation in the future."
