The KOSPI is slightly down, giving up the 2700 level. Amid selling by individuals and foreigners, only institutions are buying.
As of 9:54 a.m. on the 23rd, the KOSPI recorded 2695.76, down 11.91 points (0.44%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, individuals and foreigners are net sellers of 49.8 billion KRW and 15.7 billion KRW respectively. Meanwhile, institutions are net buyers of 8.2 billion KRW.
By sector, telecommunications is up 1.17%. Construction, electric and gas utilities, and distribution sectors are rising within 1%. On the other hand, precision medical equipment is down 2.34%. Other sectors such as electrical and electronics, chemicals, machinery, and securities are slightly down.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics is trading at 77,700 KRW, down 600 KRW (0.77%) from the previous trading day. SK Hynix is down 1.73%. KB Financial Group fell 1.16%. Conversely, Samsung C&T Corporation rose 2.45%, and Kia increased 1.27%.
The KOSDAQ recorded 768.04, down 5.43 points (0.70%).
By investor type, individuals are net buyers of 70.5 billion KRW. Foreigners and institutions are net sellers of 4.8 billion KRW and 48.2 billion KRW respectively.
By sector, other services and metals are slightly up. Meanwhile, general electrical and electronics, textiles and apparel, and finance sectors are down more than 1%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, EcoPro BM traded at 175,200 KRW, down 5,700 KRW (3.15%) from the previous trading day. EcoPro is down 1.35%. On the other hand, Classys rose 3.64%. Additionally, Alteogen, Rigacymbio, Samchundang Pharmaceutical, and Pearl Abyss are up more than 1%.
