The 29th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) announced on the 23rd that it has selected actor Lee Sun-kyun, who passed away last December, as the recipient of this year's Korean Cinema Lifetime Achievement Award and will hold a special program titled "A Graceful Person, Lee Sun-kyun."

The festival will screen six representative works of the late Lee Sun-kyun and hold a special talk session. It will showcase three early works that established him as a film actor: "Paju" (2009), "Our Sunhi" (2013), and "A Hard Day" (2014), as well as five episodes of the drama "My Mister" (2018) on the big screen. Additionally, audiences can experience director Bong Joon-ho's "Parasite" (2019), which was the first Korean film to win the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival and four Academy Awards in the United States, along with Lee's latest work "A Year-End Medley," recently released.

This year's Busan Film Festival will be held for ten days from October 2 to 11 around the Busan Cinema Center.
