Drunk Man Destroys Another's Vehicle
Flees by Taxi Upon Arrival of Substitute Driver
Police: "Difficult to Identify Suspect... Investigation Underway"
An intoxicated man damaged someone else's vehicle and fled the scene.
JTBC's 'Incident Commander' reported on the 22nd that a man, intoxicated, damaged a car in a parking lot located in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon.
According to the informant, Mr. A, the owner of the vehicle, on the night of the 26th of last month around 11 PM, he was dining with acquaintances at a nearby restaurant.
At that time, Mr. B, who was walking by, intoxicated, picked up a trash bin from the street and repeatedly struck Mr. A's Porsche vehicle. The car's windows were shattered into pieces.
Mr. B disappeared after hitting the car with the trash bin but reappeared about an hour later. He exhibited strange behavior, such as repeatedly trying to open the driver's door.
Eventually, when the designated driver called by Mr. A's group arrived at the parking lot, Mr. B hurriedly took a taxi and fled.
The police are having difficulty identifying the culprit because the CCTV footage around the area is too dark due to the late hour, and multiple people's fingerprints were found on the trash bin.
Mr. A stated, "After the culprit is caught, I planned to choose a repair shop and claim the repair costs. Currently, I am driving with plastic attached to the rear window temporarily," adding, "I reported this hoping the broadcast might provide clues to catch the culprit."
