Strengthening Emergency Preparedness... Successful Conclusion of Mapo-gu 2024 Eulji Exercise

Mapo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Gang-su) held the final debriefing session on the afternoon of the 22nd at the district office's comprehensive exhibition situation room to successfully conclude the 2024 Eulji Exercise.

The final debriefing was attended by Mayor Park Gang-su, heads of departments and divisions of the district office, the 56th Infantry Division, Mapo Police Station, Mapo Fire Station, and other related agencies, where they comprehensively discussed ▲ key exercise outcomes and achievements ▲ issues and improvement measures.

This Eulji Exercise involved a total of 11 institutions including the 56th Infantry Division, Mapo Police Station, and Mapo Fire Station, focusing on mastering the wartime transition procedures for each institution, verifying the effectiveness of the Chungmu Plan, and strengthening wartime crisis response capabilities. The exercise was conducted from the 19th to the 22nd.

In particular, on the 21st in Sangam-dong, in cooperation with MBC Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, a realistic drill simulating facility and human casualties caused by an unknown explosive terrorist attack and engagement with hostile elements was successfully carried out in a tense atmosphere.

Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo-gu said, “The sweat shed during the training will be a solid foundation to protect the peaceful daily lives of families and residents in the event of an emergency.” He added, “We will carefully review and supplement the issues that arose during this training and thoroughly prepare to conduct more effective exercises next year.”
