Australian Wine with Ink-like Deep and Rich Flavor... 'Barossa Ink'

[2024 Global Wine and Food Trip]
Interwine Introduces New World Wines Including Barossa Ink and Frontera

Asia Economy will hold the '2024 Global Wine & Food Trip' for two days starting from the 23rd at the Sebitseom Floating Island in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Marking its third year, the Global Wine & Food Trip will feature major domestic wine importers and food companies, providing an opportunity to taste various regional wines and enjoy food pairings.

Interwine will showcase New World wines from New Zealand, Australia, the United States, and Chile at this event. First, attendees can experience wines from 'Grant Burge' in the Barossa region of Australia. Grant Burge is a family-owned winery operated by the fifth generation, Grant Burge, since grape cultivation began in 1855 by John Burge, who was originally from England.

The Grant Burge Ink Series consists of wines made in Australia's representative varietal regions such as McLaren Vale, Coonawarra, and Margaret River. Among them, Barossa Ink is a new style of wine differentiated from existing wines, boasting a rich and dark color with a luxurious and deep flavor, as its name suggests. The 'Barossa Ink Shiraz' features aromas of mint and cinnamon along with rich dark chocolate, and it is a full-bodied wine with smooth tannins that linger in the mouth. The 'Barossa Ink Cabernet Sauvignon' also stands out with deep and rich aromas of coffee beans and vanilla, accompanied by smooth tannins and long-lasting black fruit scents like ripe plums.

The Chilean representative wine company 'Concha y Toro' will also present its Frontera series. The Frontera Premium wine series is a daily wine collection suitable for casual enjoyment at dinners or parties. The 'Frontera Premium Sparkling Brut' is a sparkling wine with a harmonious balance of soft and delicate bubbles and citrus fruit aromas, leaving a refreshing body impression. Made from the Chardonnay grape with an alcohol content of 12%, this wine shows a pale yellow color with a greenish tint, harmonizing fresh fruit scents like Western pear and peach with a savory yeast aroma.

Also made from the Chardonnay grape, the 'Frontera Premium Chardonnay' is a wine that highlights fresh pineapple, citrus, and vanilla aromas. It offers an excellent balance between fruitiness and moderate acidity, with added minerality that provides a pleasant freshness and complexity. Overall, it is a casual yet elegant white wine.

In addition, Interwine will present a variety of wines including New Zealand's 'Marlborough Sounds Sauvignon Blanc,' the United States' 'Taylor Port Black' and 'Buck Shack Bourbon Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon,' and Italy's 'Bel Colle Moscato D'Asti.'
