‘Middle-aged Adults on the Rise Again, Reemployment in Songpa’ Specialized Employment Training Program for Middle-aged Adults
▲Strengthening Individual Employability ▲Resume Writing and Interview Training ▲Free 1:1 Job Search and Entrepreneurship Consulting Support
Songpa-gu (District Mayor Seo Gang-seok) is recruiting trainees for the specialized employment education program for middle-aged and older adults, “Middle-aged and Older Adults Running Again, Reemployment in Songpa!” to activate employment and entrepreneurship among the middle-aged and strengthen their roles within the local community.
The district has prepared this reemployment training course to help “veteran” middle-aged individuals, who have accumulated extensive experience in the field, make a new leap in life in response to early retirement and the aging labor population trend.
The recruitment target is unemployed Songpa-gu residents aged 40 to 64, with a focus on selecting highly motivated middle-aged retirees or those with career interruptions. The program consists of a total 8-week course (once a week, every Friday from 2 to 5 p.m.) held at the Munjeong Biz Valley Job Hub Center seminar room, and the tuition is completely free.
In particular, this program is designed to be linked to practical employment. It includes ▲understanding middle-aged employment trends and establishing employment strategies ▲career goal setting through career inclination analysis and self-assessment ▲resume writing and customized interview training ▲reemployment and entrepreneurship case talk concerts ▲and one-on-one employment and entrepreneurship support consulting.
During the ‘Resume Writing and Customized Interview Training’ held in the 7th week, profile photo shoots and image consulting will be conducted to provide trainees with essential ID photos needed for actual job hunting activities and to boost their confidence in employment.
Through the ‘One-on-One Employment and Entrepreneurship Support Consulting’ course, the district will provide more than three individual consultations per person and support job registration, job information provision, and employment linkage for middle-aged individuals who have the will to find employment even after completing the training.
Additionally, follow-up management such as adaptation to the workplace will be conducted for graduates who succeed in finding employment.
Residents wishing to participate can apply through the trainee recruitment QR code by September 10. For more details, contact the Sangsanguri Education Operations Team or the Songpa-gu Office Economic Promotion Division.
Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, said, “We have prepared a specialized program to strengthen the employment capabilities of the middle-aged and create quality jobs through employment linkage,” adding, “We hope this training course will provide practical help to middle-aged Songpa-gu residents who face difficulties in social advancement and reemployment.”
