Pavel Durov (39), the founder of Telegram and owner of assets worth tens of trillions of won, has revealed that he has more than 100 biological children across 12 countries worldwide through sperm donation. Durov stated that he has continuously donated sperm after hearing that there are people who want his "high-quality genes."

On the 19th (local time), foreign media including the UK Daily Mail reported that Durov has donated sperm in large quantities to dozens of couples in 12 countries so far, and expressed his willingness to donate more sperm through IVF (in vitro fertilization) clinics.

According to reports, Durov's sperm can be purchased at a clinic in Moscow for 35,000 rubles (approximately 510,000 won). The cost of IVF treatment using his sperm is over 300,000 rubles (about 4.39 million won), and artificial insemination costs around 700 pounds (approximately 1.19 million won).

Durov recently revealed on his social media that he started donating sperm 15 years ago at the request of a friend. At that time, his friend's couple was unable to have children due to infertility issues and asked Durov for sperm donation. Upon hearing at the hospital that there were people who wanted so-called "high-quality genes," he thought sperm donation was one of his "civic duties" and has continued to donate sperm since then.

He also said, "I want to make the DNA open source so that my biological children can find each other more easily." He added, "There are risks, but I do not regret being their sperm donor," and "There is a serious birth problem worldwide due to a shortage of healthy sperm, but I am proud to have contributed to alleviating it."

Durov is a software developer and the founder of the messenger Telegram, known as a billionaire with assets worth tens of trillions of won. Born in Russia in 1984, he currently resides in Dubai and is still unmarried. According to foreign media reports, Durov's sperm donation profile states that he is a vegetarian, likes to wake up early, and speaks nine languages including English, Persian, and Latin.
