Cheil Worldwide announced on the 21st that the 'Go Ultra Challenge' campaign video for the Galaxy Watch Ultra has surpassed 6.5 million views online. The Galaxy Watch Ultra is a wearable device recently released by Samsung Electronics.


The 3-minute campaign video features bicycle influencer CJ PARK (real name Park Chan-jong), who wears a prosthetic leg on his left leg, completing a 294 km distance from Jeongdongjin to Jeongseojin in 14 hours and 37 minutes.

This Go Ultra Challenge campaign captured the influencer taking on extreme challenges in outdoor environments, aligning with the product’s specialized features, through video and photo shoots. In particular, CJ PARK, who was a bicycle YouTuber and lost one leg in an unfortunate accident in 2022, is shown wearing a prosthetic leg and taking on the east-to-west crossing challenge. The video surpassed 6.5 million cumulative views within three weeks of its online release.


The video vividly depicts scenes such as struggling up the winding roads of Daegwallyeong and removing the sweat-soaked prosthetic leg at the Mu-i rest area in Hoengseong. CJ PARK’s narration, including lines like "Even when I don’t have the strength to hold the handlebar, I’m happy running on the road right now and can’t stop," and "What reason is there not to take on any challenge? Start your challenge from now," has also received positive feedback from viewers.


CJ PARK, who participated in this campaign, said, "I accomplished a challenge I really wanted to try with the Galaxy Watch Ultra," adding, "There were times when I wondered if I could finish when it got tough, but after completing it, I felt it was definitely worth the challenge."


A Cheil Worldwide official stated, "To emphasize that the Galaxy Watch Ultra is a powerful AI watch that supports consumers’ challenges, we are increasing interest by simultaneously running digital videos, outdoor advertisements, and participatory events."


A Samsung Electronics official said, "We plan to continue various marketing activities, including real challenge content from sports influencers such as cyclists, so that the Galaxy Watch Ultra can establish itself as an ultra-powerful AI watch for extreme challenges."


Meanwhile, through this campaign, Cheil Worldwide is showcasing outdoor advertisements featuring various sports influencers centered on cycling, including CrossFit, yoga, and running, in locations with high foot traffic. They have also prepared consumer participation events, conducting a 'One-Day Class' with CJ PARK and an 'Ultra Riding Challenge' in collaboration with the bicycle brand Trek Bicycle, targeting cycling enthusiasts.
