Man Caught Washing Naked in Bukhansan
Appears Again at Same Time Next Day
A hiker reported witnessing a man wandering naked on Bukhansan Mountain.
On the 19th, JTBC's 'Incident Manager' introduced a report from hiker Mr. A, who saw a naked man at Jokduribong Peak on Bukhansan. Mr. A was descending the mountain with his son at 7:30 a.m. last weekend when he saw a man washing himself naked in an area off the trail.
Mr. A explained the situation, saying, "I was so shocked that I thought I must have seen it wrong, so I zoomed in on the man with my phone. When I zoomed in, he was not wearing a stitch of clothing. I hurriedly descended the mountain after seeing that."
However, Mr. A said he spotted the naked man again at the same time later. On the 18th, the naked man was seen washing himself with water and sunbathing while sitting on a rock with no shade. He said, "It felt like I saw something I shouldn't have. I wonder how the man got into an area off the trail, and the nudity itself is absurd and a nuisance."
Regarding the report, Bukhansan National Park officials stated, "We were not aware of the naked man," adding, "Entering areas off the trail is clearly illegal and subject to fines if caught."
Netizens who saw the story reacted with shock, saying things like, "Is he crazy because of the heat?", "Is he a human or an animal?", "I wish I hadn't seen it," "It would be really scary to encounter in person," "What is he doing in a public place?", and "I couldn't believe my eyes."
Meanwhile, if caught wandering naked on the streets, depending on the degree of exposure and circumstances, criminal charges may be filed.
