A is accused of driving an SUV and hitting four pedestrians at the entrance to Munsusa Temple in Dogae-myeon, Gumi City, in May, resulting in the deaths of three of them.

The remaining pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized but has since been discharged.

According to the National Forensic Service's analysis, the event data recorder (EDR) of the offending vehicle showed no signs that the engine was running. Additionally, the brake lights of A's vehicle, captured on a nearby car's black box, were reportedly not illuminated. The area near the temple where the accident occurred is known for its steep slopes.

A police official stated, "We applied for an arrest warrant, but the court dismissed it," adding, "A was handed over to the prosecution last month."
