"Flawless National Security, 2024 Ulji Exercise!" Slogan
Uiryeong County in Gyeongnam has officially commenced the 2024 Eulji Exercise, which will run for four days and three nights from the 19th to the 22nd.
Under the slogan "Flawless National Security, 2024 Eulji Exercise!", this year's exercise involves a large-scale participation of about 600 people from 10 institutions in Uiryeong County, including administrative agencies, the military, police, fire department, and related organizations.

This year's Eulji Exercise will include the operation of a 24-hour integrated situation room, wartime transition procedure drills, tabletop exercises for situational response, discussions on wartime issues, and civil defense evacuation drills to assess each institution's response capabilities in emergencies.
In particular, on the second day of the exercise, the 20th, a joint field drill involving the public sector, military, police, and fire department will be held at the Uiryeong National Sports Center. The training aims to strengthen the ability to effectively respond to disaster situations such as terrorism and large-scale fires at multi-use facilities.

Additionally, the county will conduct programs such as wartime combat ration tasting and wartime blood donation campaigns to raise awareness about war and promote a correct understanding of national security.
County Governor Oh Taewan said, "We will do our utmost to establish an emergency preparedness posture that can proactively respond to any crisis situation through realistic and substantial exercises."
