Gyeongnam Nonghyup Conducts Eulji Exercise in Preparation for Emergency Situations

Promoting Public Livelihood Stability Through Agricultural and Livestock Supply Stabilization

Gyeongnam Nonghyup began the '2024 Eulji Exercise' on the 19th and 20th, simulating an actual emergency situation.

This exercise was conducted to establish a 'national emergency preparedness posture' for areas under Nonghyup's jurisdiction through practical training for various crisis scenarios, as well as to cultivate the ability to mobilize agricultural and livestock products during wartime and to establish a stable supply system for military provisions.

This year's Eulji Exercise consists of practical drills such as: ▲actual training based on simulated emergency situations ▲education on Nonghyup's role during wartime ▲presentations on key wartime issues ▲hands-on training in CPR and first aid. In particular, the exercise focuses on practicing wartime organizational restructuring and procedures for wartime transition, as well as mastering response protocols under simulated real-life situations.

On the 19th, about 30 employees from Gyeongnam Nonghyup Headquarters and local Nonghyup branches in Changwon participated in a blood donation campaign for 'Blood Donation of Love' at the main gate of the Gyeongnam Headquarters to help secure blood supplies during wartime shortages.

Cho Geunsu, head of Gyeongnam Nonghyup Headquarters, said, "This blood donation event is both a training exercise to ensure smooth blood supply during wartime and a campaign to practice the spirit of love through blood donation, especially as the demand for blood continues to rise due to an aging population and an increase in critically ill patients. I hope that more people will participate in this life-sharing movement and make a significant contribution to securing blood supplies."

He added, "Through active participation of our staff in this 2024 Eulji Exercise, we will do our utmost to enhance our crisis response capabilities in areas under Nonghyup's jurisdiction by mastering practical wartime transition procedures, thereby establishing a perfect emergency preparedness posture."
