The county, recognizing the seriousness of the resurgence, is reorganizing its monitoring network for facilities vulnerable to infection and focusing on preventive education and publicity to proactively block the spread of infection.

In addition, the county is guiding prescribing institutions and pharmacies for oral antiviral treatments to comply with prescription guidelines and is working to secure sufficient supplies of oral treatments. With the start of the new school term, it also plans to strengthen preventive publicity, focusing on schools and academies, to enhance school quarantine and student health management.

To prevent respiratory infectious diseases such as COVID-19 and pertussis, it is necessary to follow preventive measures for respiratory infections, including: ▲proper hand washing ▲observing cough etiquette ▲wearing masks ▲frequently ventilating indoor spaces (at least three times a day, for at least 10 minutes each time).

County Governor Koo Inmo said, "According to experts, the 3rd to 4th week of August is expected to be the peak of the COVID-19 resurgence. Therefore, we ask residents to refrain from visiting multi-use facilities until the number of confirmed cases stabilizes, and to pay special attention to personal quarantine measures such as cough etiquette and mask-wearing when attending unavoidable gatherings or going out."
