A drone appearing at the event held by Gyeonggi Province from the 16th to the 18th in Bangameori, Ansan, as part of the Culture Four Seasons summer event, is painting "Gyeonggi, the Center of Change and Opportunity" in the sky.
Gyeonggi Province recorded approximately 65,000 visitors to the "2024 Cultural Seasons Summer Gyeonggi Sea Drone Festival," held over three days from the 16th to the 18th at Bangameori Beach in Ansan.
The Cultural Seasons "Summer" event is the second cultural festival following the spring flower festival held in April at the former Gyeonggi Provincial Government building in Suwon. The event was divided into two parts, featuring a drone festival light show.
The drone show deployed 1,600 drones to create images such as the West Coast sunset, Daebu Island Moon Observatory, the Mermaid, and the Conch, themed "Summer Gyeonggi Sea with Bonggong-i (Gyeonggi Province mascot)," through swarm flight over Bangameori Beach.
The Cultural Seasons Summer and Gyeonggi Sea Drone Light Show were broadcast live on the Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Tourism YouTube channels.
Gyeonggi Province plans to upload edited videos of the drone show.
In addition to the drone show, the festival featured various cultural performances under the title "My collection," including musicals, jazz, bands, and violin collaborations.
There were also invited performances by famous singers such as Sunye and Ben, the Ansan Sunset Concert, and performances by local art groups in various genres, including "Art in the Streets."
Park Yang-deok, Director of the Tourism Industry Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We will continue to work harder to widely promote the charm of the Gyeonggi Sea and attract more visitors to the Gyeonggi Sea."
