Disclosure of Account Number Under Child's Name
Jung Yura, the daughter of Choi Seo-won (formerly Choi Soon-sil), who is serving a sentence for the 'state affairs manipulation' scandal during the Park Geun-hye administration, has requested support, stating that she is struggling financially to the point of falling behind on her apartment rent and maintenance fees.

On the 16th, Jung posted on Facebook a text message she received from the apartment manager. The message from the manager of ○○○○ Weave Apartment included a request to pay the maintenance fees. It also stated, "Due to continuous non-payment, a request for power disconnection has been made to KEPCO, so please contact the management office."
Jung wrote, "The situation has escalated to power disconnection due to two months of overdue rent and maintenance fees," adding, "Each day is getting harder, but I will endure it." She also appealed, "Why am I the only one getting suspended on all kinds of platforms? Cyber wreckers are rampant, and there are many channels with unbearable personal attacks, so why am I the only one who can't even post on community boards?" She continued, "Could you please support me, a 'single mom' raising three children, at least until my YouTube suspension is lifted?" She revealed that "Due to seizure, I cannot use any accounts under my name. I would appreciate it if all support could be sent to accounts not under my name," and disclosed an account number under her child's name.
Jung has been continuously requesting donations recently. On the 12th, she posted a photo of her son with his face covered, asking for help, saying, "I only wish for my children to eat well in a cool home." In June, she also shared a photo that appeared to show hemoptysis.
Previously, she expressed anger over the fact that Choi was not included in the list of 1,219 people granted large-scale special pardons, sentence reductions, and reinstatements by President Yoon Suk-yeol on the occasion of the August 15 Liberation Day, which included politicians, former high-ranking officials, businesspeople, and low-income criminal offenders, saying, "Is serving President Park Geun-hye such a grave sin?" Choi, Jung's mother, was sentenced to 21 years in prison in June 2020 for abuse of power and obstruction of justice and is currently incarcerated at Cheongju Women's Prison. If she serves her full term without parole, Choi will be released at the age of 85.
