Jin Jong-oh, a member of the People Power Party, has introduced the amendment to the 'Youth Basic Act' to establish a 'Youth Policy Committee' within government central ministries as his first bill.
On the 16th, Representative Jin submitted the amendment to the Youth Basic Act to the National Assembly to ensure that the voices of the youth are reflected in policies. The amendment includes provisions to establish a 'Youth Policy Committee' in 19 central administrative ministries and appoint 15 members aged 19 to 34 to ensure that the opinions of the younger generation are incorporated into policies. The Youth Policy Coordination Committee under the Prime Minister's Office is tasked with enhancing the deliberation and coordination of youth policies, ultimately aiming to secure the effectiveness and development of youth policies.

Regarding the amendment to the Youth Basic Act, he explained, "Currently, there are 12 youth members among the private members of the Youth Policy Coordination Committee under the Prime Minister's Office, and 7 youth members in its working committee, but there are criticisms that the voices of the youth are not being adequately conveyed. To gather diverse opinions from the younger generation and to enhance the establishment and implementation of field-oriented policies, it is necessary to expand and systematize the channels, which is why I proposed this bill."
In addition, Representative Jin also introduced an amendment to the 'Act on the Safety Control of Firearms, Swords, and Explosives,' which includes provisions to manage and regulate licenses for swords and similar items at a level comparable to firearms.
