BPA Selects 30 Companies for Emergency Maintenance and Repair of Port Facilities

Prompt Response to Safety Accidents and Facility Damage

Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Junseok) has selected 30 companies in four fields?civil engineering, architecture, electrical and communications, and mechanical engineering?as contractors for emergency maintenance and repair of port facilities.

The selected companies will sign contracts with BPA and will be deployed for emergency maintenance and repair of Busan Port facilities for approximately two years, from this month until June 30, 2026.


The detailed business sectors by field are as follows: ▲Ground formation and paving construction ▲Metal structures, windows, and greenhouse construction ▲Water supply and drainage facility construction (civil engineering) ▲Interior construction ▲Metal structures, windows, and greenhouse construction ▲Wet construction and waterproofing (architecture) ▲Electrical construction ▲Information and communications construction (electrical and communications) ▲General fire-fighting facility construction (mechanical).


Busan Port Authority is operating an emergency maintenance system to ensure prompt action in case of potential safety accidents or facility damage. This year, contractors for emergency maintenance and repair were finally selected through a business capability evaluation.


Lee Sangkwon, Head of the Construction Division at BPA, said, "We conducted a rigorous screening process to select emergency maintenance contractors with excellent capabilities," and added, "We expect that ensuring construction quality and prompt emergency repairs will improve the satisfaction of port facility users."
