Pyeongtaek Anjung Health Center Recruiting 'Nutrition Plus' Participants for Pregnant Women and Infants

This program provides essential nutritional supplements to infants, pregnant women, and postpartum or breastfeeding mothers who are nutritionally vulnerable. Eligible participants include pregnant women and infants under 66 months old in the western Pyeongtaek area whose household income is at or below 80% of the median income based on the health insurance premium self-payment standard, and who have nutritional risk factors such as anemia, underweight, or stunted growth. However, infants participating in the 'Low-Income Formula Support Program' or pregnant women participating in the 'Eco-Friendly Agricultural Products Basket Program for Pregnant Women' are excluded from this benefit.

Eligible participants will receive essential nutritional supplement packages once or twice a month for up to one year. The food packages are composed according to life stages and include formula, rice, potatoes, carrots, eggs, milk, seaweed, and more. The program also provides individualized counseling to promote healthy eating habits and improve dietary management skills, along with monthly regular education sessions.

Those interested can apply by visiting the health consultation office at Anjung Health Center.
