Professional basketball player Heo Ung's ex-girlfriend, Ms. A, who filed a complaint claiming she was demanded several hundred million won, has been referred to the prosecution.

On the 16th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that Ms. A was sent to the prosecution on charges of extortion and attempted extortion.

Heo Ung's side filed a complaint stating that in June, Ms. A threatened to expose his private life to the media, social networking services (SNS), and his affiliated team starting from late May 2021, demanding 300 million won. The claim is that the conflict arose when Ms. A became pregnant, and she threatened him.

Ms. A has countersued Heo Ung on charges of sexual assault and injury, stating that she became pregnant due to non-consensual sexual relations. The case is currently under investigation by the Suseo Police Station in Seoul.

Meanwhile, regarding Heo Ung's complaint requesting an investigation into drug use by Ms. A and her acquaintance, the Gangnam Police Station plans to dismiss the case, finding no evidence of wrongdoing.
