Powernet achieved its highest-ever performance in the first half of the year.
On the 14th, Powernet announced that it recorded sales of 118.3 billion KRW and an operating profit of 6.9 billion KRW in the second quarter of this year. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 22.0% and operating profit by 51.2%, marking the highest sales and operating profit on a half-year basis.
A Powernet representative stated, "The results of the new models secured last year significantly contributed to the first half sales, and we were able to improve profitability through better-than-expected performance in the home appliances sector due to seasonal and environmental factors, as well as active innovation activities across all sectors. Looking ahead to the second half, with domestic and international risk factors expected to remain unresolved, the company plans to maintain the growth potential of existing business groups by proactively responding to market demand changes."
They added, "While focusing on improving profitability through efficient resource management, we also plan to concentrate on transforming into a future-oriented business structure through balanced qualitative growth with new business sectors, including the B2C (business-to-consumer) domain."
