Showers will fall from the morning in the central and southern parts of Yeongdong, Gangwon Province, and the coastal areas of Gyeongsang Province, while inland areas such as the Seoul metropolitan area and Yeongseo, Gangwon Province, will experience showers from the afternoon, mostly ceasing overnight. However, some areas in the Seoul metropolitan area and Jeolla Province may see showers continuing until early morning on the 17th.
Expected rainfall from the showers is 5?10 mm in central and southern Yeongdong, Gangwon Province; 5?60 mm in Chungnam; and 5?20 mm along the eastern coast of Gyeongbuk. Rainfall of 5?40 mm is expected in Yeongseo, Gangwon Province; Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungbuk; and Gyeongsang Province excluding the eastern coast of Gyeongbuk. The Seoul metropolitan area and Jeolla Province are forecasted to receive 5?60 mm of rain over two days until early morning on the 17th. Very heavy showers exceeding 30 mm per hour may occur mainly in the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungnam, Jeolla Province, and Jeju Island, so caution is advised to prevent safety accidents.
The expected morning low temperatures range from 21 to 27 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will be between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius. The maximum perceived temperature will rise to around 35 degrees Celsius in most regions nationwide, making it very hot. Fine dust levels are expected to be 'Good' to 'Moderate' nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
Fog reducing visibility to less than 1 km is expected between dawn and morning in inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, eastern Jeolla, and inland Gyeongsang Province, so caution is needed to prevent traffic accidents.
Sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the East Sea and South Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 meters in the West Sea coastal waters.
In the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are predicted to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea and South Sea, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea.
