All Employees of ADOR: "Min Heejin's Multiple Harassment... See You in Court"

Posting a Second Statement on Instagram

Former employee A, who reported sexual harassment and resigned from Adore led by CEO Min Hee-jin, has once again released a statement in response to Min's rebuttal. A stated that all they wanted was a correction of falsehoods and an apology, and warned that they would see each other in court and at the Labor Office going forward.

In the early hours of the 15th, A posted on Instagram, "I am sincerely angry at the continuous secondary victimization caused by CEO Min's ongoing false claims and a statement full of new defamation," adding, "As expected, the selective explanations that ignore violations of neutrality as a CEO, profanity, and deception, while covering up the essence of the incident such as poor performance and salary reduction, and diverting attention, are exactly as anticipated. I hope you will accurately clarify the three points I mentioned at the end of my post and issue a correction and apology."

Previously, CEO Min released a lengthy explanation of 18 pages in A4 format in response to A's claim of 'concealment of an internal sexual harassment incident.' In response, A refuted four points: ▲ the claim that the case was closed without charges and that CEO Min was not biased ▲ the claim that reports of sexual harassment and workplace bullying were false ▲ public disclosure of salary and a 40% pay cut ▲ evaluations of work ability and the timing of the end of the probation period.

Regarding the claim that the case was closed without charges and that CEO Min was not biased, A stated, "The obligation and responsibility to investigate and handle workplace bullying and sexual harassment incidents lie with Adore's CEO Min. Legally and procedurally, the CEO is the one who makes the final disciplinary decision," adding, "Please address and explain the efforts made by executive B to ensure the case was closed without charges and the biased behavior of the CEO, who, as the final decision-maker, even refused to issue a warning to the perpetrator."

Regarding the claim that reports of sexual harassment and workplace bullying were false, A said, "All seven reports of workplace bullying and one report of sexual harassment are sufficiently substantiated," emphasizing, "Regarding the sexual harassment report, executive B has already admitted fault and apologized in a KakaoTalk conversation with the CEO. There is no falsehood in my report." A also mentioned that HYBE plans to reinvestigate the case and that they have submitted 11 additional reports and supporting evidence, stating, "I will seek investigation assistance not only from HYBE but also from external organizations."

On the issue of public disclosure of salary and a 40% pay cut, A said, "All of these are illegal acts," explaining, "It is illegal to disclose an employee's salary, to arbitrarily reduce pay by 40%, and to disclose the reasons without my consent." A also noted, "Three years ago, excluding incentives, I was already receiving a salary at Adore higher than this, and I have received job offers from other companies at similar salary levels."

Regarding CEO Min's claim that continued hiring was difficult due to A's lack of work ability, A countered, "Five people participated in my probation evaluation, and except for B, who worked with me for only a month, all gave positive or strong recommendations in the final evaluation. I don't understand why you distort what is clearly documented."

Earlier, CEO Min suspected a connection with HYBE regarding former employee A's claim of 'concealment of an internal sexual harassment incident,' stating, "It is presumed to be a baseless pretext aimed at pushing for my dismissal, unrelated to A," adding, "It is malicious that I am being forcibly dragged into this controversy and targeted, even though I am not the subject of the issue," and, "It is suspicious that A suddenly appeared at a time when HYBE is under intense media criticism for various issues, targeting me, who was not even accused by A as the perpetrator but tried to mediate, demanding a public apology."

CEO Min is scheduled to appear as a speaker at the '2024 Hyundai Card Da Vinci Motel' event on September 27. 'Da Vinci Motel' is Hyundai Card's cultural convergence event where icons from various fields such as art, academia, management, and technology can be encountered through diverse programs including talks, performances, exhibitions, and busking. Min's participation has generated significant attention.
