Healthy Summer at Social Welfare Facilities
Diverse Social Contribution Activities in 'ESG' Management
"Beat the heat with Harim Samgyetang and stay healthy always!"
Harim Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Hoseok) announced on the 14th that, to mark Malbok, it visited the social welfare facility 'Bangju's House' along with the Livestock Environment Management Agency (Director Moon Honggil) and the Sejong City Social Welfare Council (Chairman Kim Buyu) to serve Samgyetang to residents with disabilities.
According to Harim, volunteers from related organizations, together with the 'Harim Love Sharing Volunteer Group,' visited Bangju's House and served Samgyetang and watermelon, prepared personally, to about 200 residents with disabilities, hoping to provide some strength to their bodies tired from the heat.
An employee who participated in the event said, "I am happy to see the disabled enjoying the meal we prepared with sincerity," adding, "I want to pay more attention to such events in the future and continue volunteer activities."
Moon Honggil, Director of the Livestock Environment Management Agency, said, "Through this event, we fulfill our social responsibility as a public institution and aim to continue sustainable sharing activities linked with companies, farms, and social welfare facilities," adding, "We will strive to have a positive impact on our society through various social contribution activities."
Meanwhile, Harim has been hosting the 'Love Taste Day' event for 23 years since 2012, inviting low-income groups and elderly living alone to serve Samgyetang as a community-based social contribution activity. Earlier in June, it took the lead in practicing ESG management by inviting about 500 elderly people in Iksan, Jeonbuk, serving Samgyetang and chicken prepared directly.
Kim Buyu, Chairman of the Sejong City Social Welfare Council, expressed gratitude, saying, "We thank the companies and volunteers who always pay attention to and support the difficult areas of the local community," and added, "We will actively work to carefully examine welfare blind spots and resolve their issues."
